Magnificent Me Piazza Parade
On Saturday 2nd July 2022 11am - 3pm at the Piazza shopping centre in Huddersfield we hosted a carnival celebration with a HUGE parade, performances, workshops, and flash mobs!
The Magnificent Me Piazza Parade showed what remarkable creations the children and young people had achieved working with Kirklees artists and arts organisations for Our Biennale 2022.
The spectacle included:
. A Parade with 100s of children with magnificent puppets, instruments, costumes, flags & more
. Flash mob dances

. Tooting, whistling, plinking & parping gizmos from Orchestra of Objects
. Performances by Shabang
. Junk Samba with Rhythm Stick Drumming
. Music from Sangam Festival
. Art installations & exhibitions
. Funky junk with Satellite Arts
. Stilt walkers
